Per James Suckling non ci sono dubbi: l’annata 2015 del Brunello di Montalcino è un’annata storica e imperdibile. Da questa annata sono nati vini in cui si denotano in maniera impressionante i frutti vividi, i tannini fini e la freschezza in acidità nonostante la maturità e la ricchezza. Suckling li classifica tra i prodotti enologici più interessanti presentati negli ultimi anni.
Il Brunello di Montalcino Le Pope 2015 della Cantina Verbena è tra i 187 vini assaggiati dal critico americano e da suo figlio: entrambi concordano sulla qualità eccezionale valutandolo 95 punti su 100 nella classifica stilata sul suo sito. Tutto questo grazie alle uve dell’azienda agricola Verbena, alla cura del vigneto e alla perfetta gestione della cantina.
In particolare, secondo il critico, Le Pope sprigiona nel bicchiere gli aromi di amarena e di tartufo nero, presenta un corpo pieno con tannini rotondi e vellutati, molta frutta matura e sfumature cremose. I tannini si sciolgono nel vino. Questo vino sarà pronto per essere degustato nel 2022, ma Suckling ci assicura che già ora è più che delizioso.

For the American wine critic the quality of the 2015 Brunello di Montalcino vintage has been exceptional
According to James Suckling there are no doubts: the year 2015 for the Brunello di Montalcino was historical and unmissable. This year marked the birth of wines in where can be impressively appreciated the vivid fruits, the fine tanninis and the freshness of the acidity even if those wines are also mature and rich. Suckling classifies them among the most interesting vine products presented in the last few years.
The Brunello di Montalcino Le Pope 2015 from the winery Verbena is among the 187 wines tasted by the American critic and his son: they both agree on its exceptional quality, rating it 95 points on 100 in the leader board published on Suckling’s website. All this was possible thanks to the winery Verbena’s grapes, to the care of the vineyard and to the perfect cellar management.
In particular, according to the Critic, Le Pope releases in the glass all the aromas of sour cherries and black truffles, it is full-bodied with rounded and velvety tanninis, lots of mature fruits and creamy shades. The tanninis melt in the wine. This wine will be ready to be tasted in 2022, but Suckling promises us that even now it is more than delicious.
