Ci eravamo lasciati a febbraio, con la grande festa di Benvenuto Brunello per accogliere la nuova annata 2015. Poi, il lockdown, la chiusura forzata della cantina – con il lavoro in vigna che, però, continuava a richiedere attenzioni – le vendite online e i brindisi virtuali. Ora, finalmente, si torna a respirare un po’ di normalità: mentre l’estate si fa sentire portando sole e caldo, le porte de La Fortuna si aprono di nuovo ai visitatori per ricominciare quel viaggio nei sapori e nei colori di Montalcino interrotto qualche mese fa.
“Abbiamo atteso tanto questo momento” dicono dall’azienda “è bello poter di nuovo vedere le sale della nostra cantina rianimarsi. Ci siamo adoperati affinché tutte le misure di sicurezza siano rispettate, ci teniamo che i nostri clienti possano trovare un ambiente accoglievo e sicuro”.
A riempire la scena ci pensa il Brunello 2015, la nuova grande annata de La Fortuna che, finalmente, i clienti possono degustare in cantina, lì, dove quel vino è nato e maturato. Un’etichetta difficile da dimenticare – in molti l’hanno definita l’annata del secolo – che già prima del lockdown, nella prestigiosa recensione di James Suckling, aveva ottenuto 95 punti. “Ora possiamo far scoprire a chi viene a trovarci la nostra nuova annata: le vendite online hanno funzionato, è vero, ma raccontare un vino di presenza, mostrare i suoi colori e imparare a conoscerne i profumi è tutta un’altra cosa.”

After the forced closing during the lockdown, La Fortuna finally welcomes customers in the cellar. The most anticipated guest? Brunello 2015
We had left in February, with the great feast of Benvenuto Brunello to welcome the new vintage 2015. Then, the lockdown, the forced closing of the cellar – with work in the vineyard that, however, continued to require attention – online sales and virtual toasts. Now, finally, we are back to breathe a little normality: summer is here, bringing sun and heat, the doors of La Fortuna open again to visitors to start the journey in the flavors and colors of Montalcino interrupted a few months ago.
“We have waited so long for this moment” says the company. “It is nice to be able to see the rooms of our cellar reanimated. We have worked to ensure that all safety measures are respected, we want our customers to find a welcoming and safe atmosphere”.
The scene is filled with Brunello 2015, the new great vintage of La Fortuna that, finally, customers can taste in the cellar, where the wine was born and matured. A label hard to forget – many have called it the vintage of the century – that already before the lockdown, in the prestigious review of James Suckling, had obtained 95 points. “Now we can let those who come to visit us discover our new vintage: online sales have worked, it’s true, but telling a wine of presence, showing its colors and learning to know its scents is something else entirely.”
