Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia: trekking panoramico alla scoperta dei vigneti di Montalcino e picnic in vigna con degustazioni

La tanto attesa vendemmia è arrivata anche nell’ Azienda Franco Pacenti.

L’annata 2020 si presenta molto interessante: le giornate di settembre con un clima ancora estivo hanno contribuito ad accelerare la maturazione, anticipando di qualche giorno la raccolta delle uve che si presentano in condizioni ottimali. A seguito di un inverno mite, fenomeno piuttosto frequente negli ultimi anni, l’azienda ha optato per una pre-potatura invernale seguita poi dalla potatura tardiva, al fine di ritardare il germogliamento e limitare il rischio di gelate primaverili, oltre a favorire l’allineamento tra maturità tecnologica e fenolica. Una primavera regolare con buona distribuzione delle piogge ha consentito l’accumulo di riserve idriche importanti per evitare stress alla pianta in un’estate siccitosa con picchi di calore piuttosto alti, grazie anche ai terreni di matrice argillosa che trattengono molto bene l’umidità. Dopo un accurato diradamento delle uve, passaggio fondamentale per raggiungere un’omogenea maturazione dei grappoli ed ottenere uve di eccellente qualità, con rese inferiori ai limiti previsti dal disciplinare, proprio in questi giorni la famiglia Pacenti ha ultimato la vendemmia.

Per vivere da vicino questa magica atmosfera, dopo il successo del primo weekend di settembre, la cantina replicherà l’evento “Trekking & Picnic in vigna” organizzato all’interno della manifestazione Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia, festeggiando la “Benfinita della vendemmia”: una passeggiata nei vigneti per conoscere le peculiarità del territorio degustando le eccellenze di Montalcino.

La famiglia Pacenti vi aspetta in cantina domenica 4 ottobre alle ore 15.00: dopo il benvenuto agli ospiti con il tour della cantina, si partirà – in auto propria – per il trekking panoramico alla scoperta dei vigneti con 2 Km di percorso per circa un’ora di camminata. L’esperienza si concluderà con il Picnic in vigna, degustando Rosso, Brunello di Montalcino e succo d’uva per i bambini, in abbinamento alla merenda del contadino.

Un appuntamento dedicato a grandi e piccini, immersi nella campagna toscana, all’insegna del relax per deliziare il corpo e la mente.

Il costo è di 25€ per gli adulti e 15€ per i bambini dai 4 ai 12 anni.

“Benfinita” End of the harvest at the winery Franco Pacenti

Cantine Aperte Vendemmia: panoramic trekking discovering Montalcino’s vineyards and picnic with winetasting in the vineyard

The long-awaited harvest came also in the winery Franco Pacenti.

The vintage 2020 in going to be very interesting: these last, warm, September days helped the grapes to ripen faster, which were in optimal conditions, anticipating by a few days the harvest. Since this year we had a warm winter, that is a very frequent phenomenon in these last few years, the winery decided to do a pre-pruning, with the purpose to delay the sprouting and to avoid the risk of spring frosts as well, this procedure also supports the balance between technological and phenolic maturity.

The spring conditions were quite regular with rains well distributed which favored high levels of water reserves thanks to the clayey soil that can well retain humidity, so important in order to avoid to stress the plant in summer that was very dry with high heat blooms. After an accurate thinning out of grapes, a fundamental step to reach an uniform ripening and to get grapes of excellent quality, with yields lower than the limits provided by the disciplinary, in these days the Pacenti family finished the harvest.

To make you live up-close this amazing atmosphere, after the success on the first September weekend, the winery will replicate the event “Trekking & Picnic in the vineyard”, organized during the main event “Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia”, celebrating the “Benifinita” the end of the harvest, by having a walk through the vineyards in order to discover the territory’s features while tasting Montalcino’s gastronomic delights.

The Pacenti family will wait for you in the winery, Sunday October 4th at 3 pm, after the welcoming to the guests by giving them the tour of the cellar, everyone will leave- with their own cars – to the panoramic trekking discovering the vineyards: a 2 kilometers walk that lasts approximately 1 hour.

This experience will end with a Picnic in the vineyard, tasting Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino and grape juice for kids, paired with the farmer’s snack.

An appointment dedicated to kids and adults, immersed in the Tuscan countryside in the name of relax to delight mind and body.

The fee to join the event is 25€ for adults and 15€ for children from 4 to 12 years of age.

Places are limited and reservation is required. It is advised the use of comfortable and trekking-friendly clothing and shoes.
