Un vino per raccontare tutta la bellezza e le potenzialità di quel mosaico di tipicità rappresentato dalle piccole realtà enoiche toscane
Come da aspettative, anche quest’edizione di Maremmachevini! si è svolta nel migliore dei modi per Le Sode di Sant’Angelo, briosa ed eclettica realtà facente capo a Luca Purgatorio. L’evento è stato, infatti, l’occasione per l’azienda di sfoggiare e presentare al pubblico il nuovo arrivato della sua scuderia: il vino Maremmano, alla base di un progetto del tutto eccezionale. Una produzione, la sua, volta a raccontare e dipingere l’altra faccia di quella Toscana “minore” fatta di tante piccole realtà enoiche che nulla hanno da invidiare alle denominazioni Big. Un ricco e complesso mosaico di storie e di tipicità che, con il suo sconfinato potenziale, regala prodotti di fattura ineccepibile. Proprio come Maremmano, che nasce dalla brillante intuizione di mettere da parte 3 barriques di Sangiovese in purezza anziché destinarle all’uvaggio. Ne deriva un vino di razza che, frutto della generosità e della ricchezza dell’annata del 2015, offre un profilo olfattivo centrato e una progressione gustativa austera, densa e articolata. Agli aromi speziati, ai cenni floreali e alle tipiche note di arancia essiccata percepiti al naso fanno riscontro una struttura tannica importante con piglio deciso e caldo ed un ingresso di bocca brillante e succoso con un finale saporito, profondo e ficcante.

Maremmano by Le Sode di Sant’Angelo: a Sangiovese sui generis
A wine to tell the beauty and the makings of that typicality mosaic represented by the small wine making realities in Tuscany
As expected, this edition of Maremmachevini! too has been a great success for Le Sode di Sant’Angelo, lively and eclectic reality headed by Luca Purgatorio. Indeed, the event has been the occasion for the estate to flaunt and present to the audience the new entry in its stable: Maremmano wine, the core of a really exceptional project. Its production aims to describe and tell about the other side of the “minor” Tuscany, made of many small wine making realities that are as good as the Big denominations. A rich and complex mosaic of stories and typicality that, with its endless potential, gives exemplary craftsmanship products. Just as Maremmano, that is born from the brilliant intuition of putting aside 3 barrels of Sangiovese, instead of using them for the blend. It comes out a particular wine, fruit of the generous and rich vintage 2015, that offers a spot-on aromatic profile and an austere, dense, well-structured taste development. Spicy aromas, floral scents and typical orange notes respond to an important tannic structure with firm and warm attitude and a lively, juicy first palate, with a tasty, deep, firm finish.
