The Tuscan spirit of Tenuta il Corno for the 2018 spring

Albios and Rhoseas enhance the flair of the warm season.

Two IGT, a White and a Rosè, both from Tenuta il Corno. These are the wines that, in this time of the year, match perfectly with the awakening of the nature after the winter stupor. The first one is named Albios and it’s a white wine (Trebbiano and white Malvasia) produced from grapes grown in the south-east side of the estate, close to Florence. After the soft pressing of the marcs, the controlled-temperature fermentation and aging in steel barrels, the wine is pale-yellow with crystal-green tinges. Fresh and long-lasting, it is characterized by summery aromas like pineapple, apple and yellow-flower notes. Which is the best match? Well, it is very pleasant and balanced thanks to its softness, therefore it is excellent for the aperitifs and with fish and white-meat dishes.

The Rhoseas is instead the rosè of Tenuta il Corno, its grapes are also growing in the south-east side of the estate (Sangiovese and Shiraz). After a short rest on the skins, it undergoes an off-the-skins fermentation at controlled temperature inside steel vats, where it also rests for the aging period. The color is bright-pink with light-violet tinges, the aroma is elegant, strong, pungent with flower, red fruit and cherry notes. Savoury and light, it is perfect for the aperitifs, with Tuscan cold cuts, fish and white-meat dishes.
