Anche per l’azienda di Roberto Del Buono è venuto il tempo di confrontarsi con le conseguenze di un clima che, sebbene inclemente, non sembra aver inficiato la salute delle uve
Oltre a preannunciare l’arrivo dell’autunno, la pioggia di questi giorni ha segnato l’inizio della stagione di raccolta per molte aziende toscane. Come per L’Azienda Agricola La Cignozza che, situata sulle dolci colline di Chianciano Terme, regala ogni anno vini dal carattere deciso e dal gusto inconfondibile. Il caldo impietoso di questi mesi ha dato certamente del filo da torcere 
all’azienda di Roberto Del Buono, che ha pazientemente atteso il momento per la sua vendemmia. Una vendemmia che, vista la buona condizione delle vigne, si prospetta proficua, soprattutto in termini qualitativi: “Sebbene il caldo torrido e la siccità di quest’estate li abbiano certamente messo a dura prova, i nostri vigneti hanno saputo tener botta producendo uve in salute e di qualità”, ci dicono dall’azienda. Nello specifico, alcune varietà sono apparse in ottima forma, il Merlot su tutte: “Il Merlot è particolarmente florido, così come il Syrah ed il Sangiovese “. Sul fronte quantitativo, invece, è stata registrata una leggera perdita che, fortunatamente, non ha impattato troppo sulla produzione: “Indipendentemente dalle percentuali di perdita, siamo comunque fiduciosi per questa vendemmia e sicuri di ottenere importanti risultati”.

La Cignozza: the harvest is starting
It’s time for Roberto Del Buono’s winery as well to deal with the consequences of an adverse climate that nevertheless seems not to have compromise the health of the grape
The rain of these last days, beyond announcing the forthcoming autumn, was the start of the harvesting season for many Tuscan wineries. That’s the case for Azienda Agricola La Cignozza, in Chianciano Terme, a winery that every year produces wines with a strong character and a unique taste. The harsh heat of the last months has surely given a hard time to Roberto Del Buono’s estate that has patiently waited for the harvest period. Given the good health of the vineyard, the harvest is foreseen to be fruitful, especially from the quality point of view: “although the scorching heat and drought of this summer has really put a strain on our vineyards, they were able to resist and produce grapes that are healthy and of quality” they say from the winery. In particular, some varieties are in a great shape, the Merlot above all: “the Merlot is particularly ruddy, same for the Syrah and Sangiovese”. Talking about quantities instead, there was a small loss that, luckily, did not impact too much on the production: “despite the lost percentages, we are anyway confident about this harvest and we are sure to have important results”.
