Previsioni molto buone per l’annata 2016
Proprio in questi giorni di inizio ottobre l’Azienda Agricola Verbena, poco lontano da Montalcino, è impegnata con il rituale della vendemmia che ormai da più di trent’anni rappresenta un momento di grande valore e importanza per la famiglia Nannetti, che fin dalla nascita dell’azienda segue con costanza e passione questo evento fondamentale intorno a cui ruota la produzione dei loro vini, tra cui il celebre Brunello di Montalcino, uno dei migliori vini italiani apprezzato in tutto il mondo.
Per l’annata 2016 le previsioni vendemmiali sono molto buone, complice il clima fresco dell’estate che ha portato ad una perfetta maturazione le uve, lenta e lievemente posticipata. I primi grappoli ad essere raccolti sono stati quelli dei terreni localizzati a Castelnuovo dell’Abate e a seguire la vendemmia è iniziata anche nei terreni siti intorno all’azienda che ospita i locali dove avverranno gli altri processi della vinificazione. La raccolta delle uve è effettuata esclusivamente a mano.
I colori delle uve sono bellissimi e l’aspetto degli acini, che emanano un inebriante profumo, è sano. Il grado alcolico è sul 14%. La produzione del 2016 è di circa 65 quintali per ettaro.
Anche quest’anno nella cantina dell’Azienda Agricola Verbena troveremo il Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Docg, Brunello di Montalcino Docg, il Rosso di Montalcino Doc e l’IGT Toscana Rosso.

Very good expectations for the 2016 vintage
Right in these first days of October the Azienda Agricola Verbena, located not far from Montalcino, is very busy with the ritual of the harvest, which is representing a time of great value and importance for the Nannetti’s family since thirty years. From the foundation of the winery, the family is following with constance and passion this important event, on which revolves their production, most of all the famous Brunello di Montalcino, that is one of the best and most appreciated wines in the whole world.
For the 2016 vintage the expectations of the harvest are really good, thanks also to the cool climate profile during the summer, which brought a perfect slow and slightly postponed ripeness of the grapes. The first grapes that has been picked up were the ones from the lands of Castelnuovo dell’Abate, and after the harvest also begun in the lands located around the estate, which includes also the rooms where the vinification processes will take place. The picking process follows only the manual picking method.
The colour of the grapes is wonderful and the aspect of the berries, wich spread a heady perfume, is healty. The alcoholic gradation is around 14%. The 2016 production is around 6.5 tons per hectare.
This year also, from the cellars of the Azienda Agricola Verbena will come out: the Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Docg, the Brunello di Montalcino Docg, the Rosso di Montalcino Doc and the Rosso Toscano IGT.
